“Once upon a time a sea nymph, named Leucopetra, was loved and disputed by two young men: Vesevo and Sebeto. They wanted to kidnap the young nymph, daughter of the god Neptune, who ran away and dived into the sea, turning herself into the most beautiful cliff of Capri.

Leucopetra in Greek means PIETRABIANCA (“White Stone”), precisely the color of “Faraglioni”. The young desperate Vesevo turned into the volcano VESUVIO, which began to pour fire until he reached his beloved nymph in the sea ”
